Back Up Team Leader – Casual Training Position

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, this position is responsible to assist the Production Team Leader in all aspects of producing oriented strand board including supervision of a team, training of team members, exercising proper safety procedures and fostering a culture to care within their team, ensuring the team is obtaining acceptable quality standards and maintaining the goals of MLOSB.

This role has a strong emphasis on leadership development with the expectation that the successful applicant is willing to progress into permanent leadership. This position is a training role performing the tasks of the Back Up Team in their absence.

Qualifications
  • Currently employed with MLOSB
  • Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation, preferably in the panel board / OSB industry;
  • Excellent knowledge pertaining to industry related safety programs;
  • Troubleshooting skills;
  • Supervisory experience in an Industrial Production Environment
  • Communication and motivational skills are essential.
