The Job:
Beverage Preparation & Quality Execution
• Ensure employees are trained to prepare all beverages according to standardized recipes, build guides, and portion controls to ensure consistent taste, appearance, and temperature. (Gold Standard Quality)
• Maintain accuracy across hot, cold, specialty, and promotional beverages during all dayparts.
• Perform quality checks to ensure beverages meet brand standards for presentation and freshness.
• Ensure equipment follows recommended layout to maintain beverage production flow and meet operational efficiencies to align with service expectations.
• Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional service when interacting with guests, including order clarification and basic product knowledge.
• Support guest recovery efforts by quickly addressing beverage-related concerns and escalating when needed.
• Train key employees on the set up and break down of the beverage/BDaP station to ensure it is fully stocked, organized, and guest-ready at the start of each day.
• Monitor ingredient levels and proactively communicate replenishment needs to avoid outages during service.
• Support inventory control by minimizing waste and following proper product handling and storage procedures.
Food Safety, Cleanliness & Equipment Care
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements related to beverage preparation and service.
• Complete daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning routines for beverage equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Identify equipment issues early and escalate concerns to leadership to prevent service disruptions.
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of beverage ingredients in line with safety standards.
Learning & Development
• Be the subject matter expert and role model for correct beverage builds, station organization, and service behaviours.
• Support onboarding and on-the-job coaching of new or developing crew members assigned to the beverage/BDaP station.
• Reinforce training materials and operational changes related to beverages as directed by operational procedures and marketing/promotional initiatives.
• Adhere to all restaurant policies, operational standards, and brand guidelines.
• Participate in beverage verification, quality checks, or skill assessments when required.
• Provide feedback to leadership on opportunities to improve beverage execution, station layout, or workflow efficiency.
