INDOC Cranes is a Saskatchewan based company and we have an immediate opening for an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to join our team. Job Duties: Primarily responsible for undertaking crane inspections, certifications, repairs and modifications to overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment.
Interact with our customers in a polite and professional manner, using knowledge to provide sound and professional advice.
Conduct crane inspections and complete all necessary reporting required.
Trouble shooting equipment to diagnose deficiencies and determine repairs required. Perform repairs and test each repair for complete functionality.
Understand and interpret Crane codes and Manufacturers requirements for equipment.
Complete both electrical and mechanical services of lifting equipment including but not limited to the inspection of gearboxes and oil levels, electrical motors, electronic control systems, travel wheels, and wire ropes.
Ensure customer logs are maintained and updated with completed inspections and servicing.
Approve and sign off on all inspection reports and crane certifications.
Installation of Cranes
Final commissioning and Load Testing
Must have minimum of 4 years or 8,000 hours of documented crane service and/or inspection experience
Journeyman Electrician or Millwright certification
Comfortable working at heights
Ability to work varied hours, overtime, and on-call if needed
Ability to work out of town
Must have a valid drivers license
