Department Overview:
The Personal Lending team is part of the Canadian Card Payments, Loyalty & Personal Lending group (CCPL&PL) within Canadian Personal Banking (CPB) at TD. The team is responsible for product and pricing strategies, product development, customer lifecycle management, and the financial performance of Personal Lending products, including Unsecured Lending and Lines of Credit.
The Senior Business Analyst plans, manages, leads and oversees requirements on Journeys and Platforms, driving continuous value to realize business Objectives and Key Results. The BA excels at driving business value through critical thinking and quality requirements.
The Senior BA offers Requirements Management expertise, alignment to Objectives and Key Results, Operating Models and Quality/Traceability Standards, and Leadership to drive Business Benefits and Efficiencies.
The Senior BA is assigned to a Journey Pod (potentially multiple Pods) or Agile Release Trains and supports the Product Owner to ensure the vision to deliver continuous value to the customer/colleague is driven to reality. As a key Pod member, the BA works collaboratively with the Pod to help maintain efficiencies and optimal functionality of the Pod.
The Senior BA has deep expertise and experience in Business Analysis, large project/program delivery, familiarity with various methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scaled Agile For Enterprise) and can successfully operate through complexity and ambiguity.
The Senior BA demonstrates the International Institute of Business Analysts' (IIBA) Core Competency Model standards.

Job Accountabilities:
- Plans, manages, leads and oversees requirements
- Analyzes impacts to customers, colleagues, stakeholders, processes and technology solutions to achieve business results
- Supports and validates the creation of the right problem (value proposition)/opportunity statements to solve for
- Drives and validates tangible business benefits and success criteria to deliver value to customers/colleagues in conjunction with business segment OKRs
- Ensures alignment to requirements management framework to hold the Pod accountable for aligning to expected outcomes
- Elicits and documents high quality requirements with supporting documentation and end to end traceability that leads to increased pod velocity/value
- Contributes to and influences requirements prioritization
- Proactively identifies, documents and manages requirements related risks and key decisions
- Understands the link between portfolio investment, business/technology strategy, and target state
- Provides thought leadership and challenges the status quo
- Provides support to the PO for Program Increment Planning and Quarterly Business Review
- Provides advisory support to Product Owner with the definition of goals, objectives, success criteria
- Connects the dots within/across Journeys and Platforms, Solution Trains/ARTs
- Partners with Change/Channel Enablement and relevant teams to understand the perspectives of impacted groups on the change, potential gaps or resistance points
- Effectively navigates through complexity and ambiguity
- Impacts & influences to provide support to Leaders to make informed decisions
- Positively impacts collaboration and relationship management between the business and technology and champions Psychological Safety
- Reduces rework/wasted time through effective analysis
- Contributes to Sprint goals and velocity targets as applicable
- Leads requirements quality assessments to reduce risk, drive clarity and support effective delivery
- Provides leadership guidance, makes recommendations, and collaborates with business and technology to ensure the solution meets the business needs

- Demonstrates flexibility to cover for Pod members as needed (PO, Scrum Master) for short term gaps or as representative in ceremonies
- Mentors and guides Junior BAs, BSAs, Pod members and Partners
- Participates in and contributes to the Analyst Practice Community of Interest
Additional Information:
- Minimum 5-7 years as Business Analyst
- CBAP Certification is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Personal Banking Products
- Experience with Waterfall, TD Agile and SAFe methodologies (and ability to quickly learn TD Scaled Agile Framework)
- Strong collaboration, leadership, creative solutioning, critical thinking skills
- Superior relationship management, ability to deal with challenges and help with solutions
- Ability to operate in multiple Pods simultaneously when applicable
