Job Description:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be a key member of the Chief Operation Office supporting Enterprise Protect Risk Factory, accountable for partnering with business stakeholders to deliver timely, meaningful, and compliant business intelligence solutions. This role supports enterprise-wide risk management and enables informed decision-making while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

We are seeking a self-motivated, innovative BI professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and brings an agile mindset, strong data storytelling capabilities, and deep technical expertise to translate data into actionable business intelligence.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Business Partnership & BI Delivery
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across the Enterprise Protect Risk Factory to understand business objectives, define BI requirements, and translate complex risk and control needs into scalable business intelligence solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deliver accurate and timely BI products aligned to enterprise risk priorities, regulatory obligations, and internal policy requirements.
  • Act as a trusted BI advisor and subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and enabling data-driven, risk-informed decisions.

Data Preparation, Analysis & Insights
  • Work with diverse and complex data sources using Python, PySpark, SQL Server, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure) to support data extraction, transformation, and preparation for BI consumption.
  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, curated datasets, and semantic layers that support reporting, dashboards, and self-service business intelligence.
  • Proactively surface insights, trends, and risk indicators, delivering value-added intelligence through clear interpretation and actionable recommendations.

Visualization & Data Storytelling
  • Design and deliver insightful, functional, and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau, enabling self-serve BI and informed action.
  • Apply strong data storytelling principles to communicate quantitative and qualitative insights clearly and compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present BI findings and recommendations through written deliverables, executive-ready presentations, and stakeholder forums.

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management
  • Operate effectively within an agile delivery model, managing backlogs, priorities, milestones, timelines, and service-level commitments.
  • Lead BI project coordination and stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency, alignment, and predictable delivery.
  • Manage partner inquiries and issue resolution related to BI products, providing clear updates, presentations, and training as required.

Process Excellence & Team Contribution
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Enterprise Protect Risk Factory BI standards, processes, and best practices for data sourcing, transformation, reporting, and visualization.
  • Support scalable and sustainable BI solutions that reduce operational risk and strengthen enterprise reporting resilience.
  • Work independently or collaboratively, leveraging team expertise and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Experience
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization roles.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering BI solutions in fast-paced, data-driven environments, preferably supporting risk, control, or compliance functions.

Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (SQL Server) for data querying and transformation.
  • Working knowledge of Python and PySpark to support data preparation for BI use cases.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and familiarity with Azure cloud services.
  • Advanced experience developing enterprise-grade dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, BI semantic layers, and visualization best practices.

Business & Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into effective BI solutions.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights and influence outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines and changing demands.
  • Disciplined, results-driven, and committed to execution excellence.

Assets
  • Experience with enterprise risk management, regulatory reporting, or control-based BI solutions.
  • Familiarity with proprietary enterprise systems, processes, or internal reporting platforms.

Education
  • Advanced university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or another analytically focused discipline.

Certifications (Preferred / Good to Have)
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification or Equivalent (e.g., PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst).
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as: AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
  • Additional Azure or data-related certifications are considered an asset.
