The opportunity

We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Tax Staff in our Saskatoon office. As a Tax Services Senior, you will be a part of our Business Tax Compliance group which has talented and dedicated professionals who provide quality compliance services in many industries, such as: consumer products; energy; manufacturing; technology; communications; and entertainment. The successful candidate will team with talented and innovative professionals dedicated to client service.

Your key responsibilities

Your role as a Tax Services Senior will give you the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop and deliver innovative tax compliance products with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations.

Skills and attributes for success

• Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service.
• Team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services
• Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals.
• Thoroughly and accurately analyze information.
• Prepare practical and creative solutions to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
• Encourage communication and effectively supervise team members.
• Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or economics
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant Canadian tax compliance experience or the equivalent experience in business or industry
• An accounting designation
• Strong managerial skills and a proven record in leading teams
• Advanced organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Proven business development skills

Ideally, you'll also have

• Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas.
