Job Description

What you will do:
  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate towing and storage payouts on PD Claims while ensuring full compliance with municipal by-laws, the TSSEA agreement in Ontario, Section 24, and RSLA requirements.
  • Review storage entitlement by validating RSLA compliance, including timelines, notices, and lien rights.
  • Manage Pay-Into-Court (PIC) files with accuracy, timeliness, and complete documentation.
  • Act as a primary liaison between Members, tow operators, repair shops, tow yards, vendors, and legal teams to ensure alignment with TSU procedures and timelines.
  • Handle all towing and storage processes for repairable vehicles, including:
    • Coordinating vehicle releases from shops and pounds.
    • Resolving issues involving unresponsive or non-cooperative shops.
    • Managing police release requirements and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and internal departments to support efficient and fair claim resolution.
  • Stay current on industry trends, towing equipment standards, municipal by-laws, and regulatory changes related to TSSEA and RSLA any other bylaws.

Job Requirements
  • Completion of Post-secondary education
  • 1-2 years prior claims handling experience coupled with 2-3 years customer service experience.
  • Possess strong knowledge of towing equipment, municipal towing and storage by-laws, and the TSSEA agreement, including Ontario Section 24 and RSLA provisions .
  • Familiar with Small Claims Court practices/procedures and Pay Into Court.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills - clear, professional, and confident in both written and verbal formats .
  • Have proven negotiation abilities and conflict-resolution skills, especially when working with tow operators, shops, and external vendors.
  • Deliver superior customer service, consistently acting with empathy, professionalism, and urgency .
  • Bilingual will be an added advantage
  • Show strong interpersonal skills, building positive working relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excel in organization, prioritization, and time management, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
