The Operations Analyst I is part of a team of approximately 15 reporting to the Manager Loans & Settlements. Individual will be responsible for the handling of credit, loan administration and Trade Finance settlements.

Job Description
The Operations Analyst I is part of a team of approximately 15 reporting to the Manager Loans & Settlements. Individual will be responsible for the handling of credit, loan administration and Trade Finance settlements.
Job Accountabilities
- Manage Credit Limits.
- Create deals, facilities and process and release transactions in Loan IQ.
- Process and verify Export Credit Agency loans, trade loans, syndicated loans, supply chain financing and other Trade Finance Structure Financing.
- Review, verify, and ensure all required documentation and approvals are in place prior to approving and executing credit requests, loan funding and/or other payment related functions.
- Review and ensure documentation such as loan summary, loan agreement, Cairo, Documentary Letters of Credit & Collections' terms, and conditions, etc. are read and understood before processing and/or releasing any transaction.
- Execute transactions and ensure all payments and fees, receivables and cash flows are properly settled.
- Prioritize and manage own workload and that of the team to complete and deliver transaction processing or other processing activities accurately and timely as per the business Service Level Agreement.
- Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and to ensure staff can perform at maximum capability.
- Follow firm and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions including AML Enhanced Due Diligence and Anti-Boycott Procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service by dealing with problem resolution and complex issues.
- Complete investigations and escalate nonstandard, high risk transactions or other activities as appropriate.
- Escalate customer/processing issues and gaps where necessary to ensure legendary service is maintained.
- Execute processing responsibilities involving one or more of the following:
- Transactions or activities with a lack of market standards or practices.
- Non-standard processing environment.
- Multiple step transactions.
- Several systems or applications.
- A combination of manual and automated environments.
- Multiple jurisdictions (currencies, time zones).
- Execute on all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to internal and external partners.
- Execute on ad-hoc and other requests.
- Identify areas of improvement; recommends, implements, and monitors the achievement of process enhancements to reduce redundancy.
- Support the team by continuously developing knowledge and participate fully in promoting team effectiveness and positive work environment.
Job Requirements
- 2 years' experience in a credit environment.
- bachelor's degree in finance, International Business, or other related discipline an asset.
- Highly organized and have ability to work within stringent deadlines.
- Position requires strict attention to accuracy, details, and timelines.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Possesses experience in loan administration and non-negotiable documentation.
- Be flexible to handle change, innovative, proactive, self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), and ability to interact with Senior Management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Knowledge of URR725, UCP600, URC522 are an asset.
- Knowledge of Trade 360 system and Loan IQ system is an asset.
- Spoken and written knowledge of French language is an asset.

- Gérer les limites de crédit
- Créer des transactions et des facilités, traiter et valider des transactions dans le système Loan IQ
- Administrer, traiter et vérifier les prêts garantis des organismes de crédit a l'exportation, les prêts syndiqués et d'autres formes de financement structuré de Financement commercial
- Passer en revue l'ensemble des approbations et des documents requis et vérifier qu'on les a tous obtenus avant d'approuver et de traiter une demande de crédit et le décaissement d'un prêt ainsi que d'autres fonctions relatives aux paiements.
- Passer en revue divers documents (sommaire du prêt, convention de prêt, dernier examen bancaire du système CAIRO, les conditions rattachées aux lettres de crédit etc.) et vérifier que tous ont été lus et compris avant de traiter ou de libérer des opérations.
- Traiter les opérations et vérifier que tous les paiements, les frais, les créances et les mouvements de fonds ont été réglés
- Gérer sa charge de travail et celle de l'équipe selon les priorités afin d'assurer le traitement des opérations et d'autres activités de traitement avec précision et dans les délais établis par l'entente de niveau de service de l'unité fonctionnelle.
- Suivre les règlements et les pratiques d'exploitation de l'entreprise et du secteur dans le traitement et l'enregistrement des opérations, y compris les procédures de diligence raisonnable accrue a l'égard de la LCBA et les procédures de prévention du boycottage.
- Offrir un excellent service a la clientèle par la résolution de problèmes et de questions complexes.
- Mener des enquêtes et soumettre les opérations ou les autres activités non courantes ou a haut risque a une instance supérieure, au besoin.
- Soumettre a l'échelon supérieur les problèmes et les lacunes liés au traitement, au besoin, afin de maintenir un service a la clientèle de grande qualité.
- Exercer des responsabilités liées au traitement en ce qui a trait a un ou a plusieurs des aspects suivants :
- opérations ou activités non conformes aux pratiques et aux normes du marché;
- environnement de processus non normalisés;
- opérations en plusieurs étapes;
- connaissance des différents systèmes et applications;
- combinaison d'environnements manuels et automatisés;
- territoires multiples (devises, fuseaux horaires).
- Assurer la production de tous les rapports quotidiens, hebdomadaires, mensuels et trimestriels et leur remise aux partenaires internes et externes.
- Répondre aux demandes ponctuelles et d'autre nature.
- Identifier les points a améliorer, formuler des recommandations a cet effet, mettre en œuvre et surveiller la réalisation des améliorations nécessaires afin d'éviter les redondances.
- Aider l'équipe en approfondissant continuellement ses connaissances, en favorisant l'efficacité de l'équipe et en contribuant a un milieu de travail positif.
Exigences du poste
- Deux ans d'expérience dans un environnement de crédit.
- Baccalauréat en finance, en affaires internationales ou dans un domaine connexe, un atout.
- Excellent sens de l'organisation et capacité de travailler dans des délais serrés.
- Attention particulière a l'exactitude, aux détails et au respect des délais.
- Excellentes compétences pour la résolution de problèmes et l'analyse, et bon jugement.
- Expérience dans la gestion des prêts et des documents non négociables.
- Souplesse pour s'adapter au changement; esprit d'innovation, d'entreprise et d'initiative.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication (orale et écrite) et capacité de communiquer avec les membres de la haute direction.
- Connaissance de la suite bureautique Microsoft exigée.
- Connaissance des pratiques et règlements de la Chambre de Commerce Internationale (RUU 600, RUR 725 et RUE 522), un atout.
- Connaissance des systèmes Trade 360 et Loan IQ, un atout.
